Tweet“I love walking, but I’ve always needed wide-fitting boots and shoes and had a problem foot. I was told that one leg was longer than the other, and prescribed a foot insert to correct the problem. The inserts worked well for about six months, but my feet continued to spread and then began to hurt [...]

Tweet“It’s hard to keep fit when you lead an office based life. I always lived by the rule, that the best exercise for the sport you do is the sport you do – Keely taught me different. Pilates has helped me improve and change issues with my strength and posture that I have lived with [...]

Tweet“The combination of Pilates and Bowen Technique work so well together. Bowen balances and realigns the skeletal structure without force or manipulation – loosening tight muscles in the process. Then Pilates helps to hold the structure in place by targeting specific muscle groups – producing increased flexibility and strength. When applied by experienced practitioners, Bowen [...]

TweetI have been going to Pilates for nearly a year. I was rather apprehensive in the beginning and was recommended to Keely by word of mouth stating how good she was and ‘knew her stuff’. I contacted Keely and was put in a small class for people with problems. At times you feel that you [...]

Clinically Referred Pilates

Pilates is an effective tool for rehabilitation and clients are often referred to us via their physiotherpast, osteopath or other complementary health care professionals so they can benefit the rewards that the technique can offer. Our teachers can work in conjunction with your practioner to help assist you in your recovery and help to create a more injury free body. Pilates can be used post surgery as it can help to re-build the bodys strength in a safe and effective way.

Pilates is particularly good for back conditions, as there is a strong focus on segmental stability of the spine which helps bring control and strength to an injured area. Attention is also paid to  general torso and core stability which means that the body has a chance to recover from its injured state and that the muscucle imbalances caused by the injury can be addressed.

Our clinical classes are designed to accommodate people who require more individual attention. We will also look at any postural or alignment imbalances that you may have to help you move away from pain and towards a body that is stronger and more balanced.

Classes are taught in monthly block sessions. Booking is essential
